Sonic took the man's shirt, seeing as he, it, would no longer need it. Struck silent with what he had just heard, walked slowly back to Scarlet. Halfway back he stopped and looked at the moon. It was almost full, probably going to be full in the next night or two.
Sonic looked back down and continued walking. When he got to Scarlet, she was a weekly leaning against a tree, still holding her shirt to her chest. She was barely awake, trying to walk. But when she no longer had the tree for support, she fell forward. Her scrap of cloth flew away from her. Scarlet laid on her chest. She tried to growl angrily, but it came out as a soft groan. She curled up, her back facing Sonic.
"You want this?" Sonic tossed the shirt onto her.
Scarlet took it and slipped it on, glad to finally have something to wear.
"Thanks," she said tiredly. She crawled to an overturned log and pulled herself onto it. But instead of sitting upwards she draped herself over it. She patted the space above her with her hand, gesturing for Sonic to sit. Which he did.
Sonic put his elbow on his knee and held his head. They were silent for a minute.
"Did you...kill him?"
Sonic looked at the sky. "I couldn't have even if I wanted to. He was a robot. One of Eggman's."
"Really? Wow. Did you learn anything at least?"
"Yeah, you know how Amy's sick? That's not just because of the cold. Eggman injected her with a sickness when he made her a Werehog. And he said in thirteen days she'll...die."
"Did he say how we save her?!"
"Yeah...by bringing her to him. By putting her life in his hands."
"That's gotta be tough."
"Ya think?"
Scarlet rested her head on Sonic's leg.
"So what're you going to do?"
"What can I do? I guess I'll bring her to Eggman. And fast. I'll get us moving in the morning."
"That's...good..." And then Scarlet fell asleep. Sonic looked down at her. He gently lifted her head off him and set it down on the log. He walked over to and laid down by Amy.
He stroked her arm and whispered, "Don't die, Amy... Don't die...." right before he drifted to sleep as well, his arm still resting on Amy's.

In the shadows of the forest, a dark red hedgehog and a black and white fox were looking through the brush, watching the strange group; a yellow two tailed fox, a blue Werehog, a pink Werehog, another dark red hedgehog, and a two tailed blue and white fox.
If the two "spies" hadn't climbed up and clung to trees thanks to the hedgehog's quick thinking, they would have been swept away.
Everyone was silently sleeping.
The black fox's two tails twitched with anticipation.
"They're sleeping, let's get them now!" she whispered, about to run out.
The hedgehog held out a gloved red hand to stop her. "Not yet... Not now."
"Why not?!" she crouched back down.
"Patience is key. I have a plan and you need to follow it. You want money, right? Well I want revenge."
"But your plans are always so complicated!"
"That's why they work."
She looked back at the fox. "You always run into battles without thinking. You fight without any planning. And you rarely use your magic!"
"Oh yeah? What about how you fight?"
The red hedgehog flipped back her long bang quills. "I don't fight. Combat is not ladylike."
"Pffft. You should see yourself when you're not Miss Lady. You scare me sometimes."
"I don't know what you're talking about." But she did. When she flips into vicious mode, she's a killing machine.
"Oh yes you do."
"Anyway, are you ready? Is the medallion ready?"
The black medallion around the fox's neck pulsed with black energy. "I told you," she said while flipping back her blue hair and smiling evilly. "I'm always ready."
The black energy glowed. Her fur slowly began to turn white. The white marks on her belly, arms, and legs turned blue to match her hair, which got much longer. Her two tails switched colors, becoming white with black tips. The inside of her ears turned black as well. Her eyes turned pink. Her tennis shoes, coat, partially exposed bra, Capri jeans, and short gloves morphed into a short skirt, white boots, V-shaped shirt, long sleeves, and long gloves.
"Your turn," the now white fox whispered. She looked exactly like Dream now.
The red hedgehog nodded and touched the medallion. Nothing changed for her except that her long dress, high heels, bow earrings morphed into a too-big shirt, white shorts, golden earrings, and green converse. Both of their garbs looked as if they had been through a lot. You can guess who she looked like.
"Now bring them here," the red hedgehog whispered.
The fox's hands glowed dark green. Roots slowly, silently crept towards Dream. They first crept under her. They slowly entangled her legs, then her torso, binding her arms. She was rendered motionless. They tightened and began dragging Dream silently to the duo in the brush.
When Dream's head hit a stone, her eyes fluttered open. When she realized she was being dragged, she opened her mouth to scream. The fox flung her other hand at Dream. The roots tightened extremely, crushing her, and a slender root quickly entangled her neck, choking her. No noise came from her open mouth. The roots continued to drag her to the duo, faster now. When she arrived at their feet, Dream's hands had begun to glow dark green also.
"Oh no you don't!" Dream's identical whispered. The roots tightened around Dream's arms, cutting off her circulation. A thorn on one of the roots pricked her arm, injecting sap that moved through her bloodstream by itself, no circulation needed. Dream would've screamed in pain if she had been able to. The glow dimmed and subsided. Dream hadn't experienced this before, not being able to use her powers. She felt like a trapped animal. Her vision went black and her eyes closed.
"Now get Scarlet."
The fox released Dream and sent the vines after Scarlet. They wrapped around her and pulled her through the air. Her head hung limply as she slept.
Dream's identical thrust her hand at Dream. Roots took Dream back up and strung her high into the trees. The roots and vines ensnared her fingers and limbs, making it impossible for her to move at all and barely breathe.
Scarlet's eyes opened. When her identical looked into them, she threw and pinned Scarlet quietly against a tree, knocking the breathe out of her.
Killer mode: on.
"Remember me?" she whispered harshly.

When Sonic awoke, he heard frantic breathing. He realized it was Amy. She was sickly pale pick. He picked her up, wobbly because he had just awoken. Everyone else was asleep.
"Guys! Wake up, we need to get to Eggman!"
Tails woke up, as did Scarlet and Dream.
"What? Why?!" Tails asked.
"Because he needs to cure Amy," Scarlet explained.
"Can't I heal her?"
"You probably won't since it's not a natural disease. Eggman created it."
Dream got up, her hands glowing light green. But when she touched Amy, nothing happened.
"You're right."
"The Tornado could be anywhere with what Dream did! How are we supposed to find it?! And who's to say it's working?"
"I trust you to be able to fix it, but we need to find it. Where did you leave it?"
"I left it on the edge of the forest. Towards the plains."
Sonic zipped towards it, Tails following in the air. Scarlet began running also, and Dream used the roots like rails again to guide her. It was quite a sight.
When they reached the strip of land that connected the dry plains with the forest, they're was the Tornado! But it definitely needed fixing.
"My toolbox is still under the seats. Just give me enough time and I'll have this thing flying faster than Sonic can eat a chili dog!"
Tails flew up into the plane and, just as he said, his tool box was there. He set to work.
Sonic set Amy down against a tree and sat down also, hugging her. Amy opened her eyes and smiled.
"Hi, Sonic."
"Hey, Amy."
"Where are Scarlet and Dream?"
"Right here."
"Sonic, where are we?"
"Tails is fixing the plane so we can take you to Eggman."
"What? Why are you taking me to Eggman?!"
"So he can cure you. Like you said, it's all his fault."
"Well yes, but-"
"Amy...it's the only way."
"Fixed!" Tails shouted.
"That was fast," Sonic exclaimed.
"Oh it was nothing," Tails said, rubbing his nose modestly. "Everyone in. I added extra room so we could fit."
"Nice job, Tails," Sonic gave him a high five.
Scarlet climbed in along with Dream. Sonic got in with Amy. Tails got in and fired it up.
"Here we go!"
The tornado turned around in the air and began flying over the ocean. Dream and Scarlet looked back at the forest then exchanged a glance, smiling slyly at each other. Sonic, Amy, and Tails had no idea what they were in for.

Back at the forest, a red hedgehog and a blue and white fox where in the trees, strung up and tightly entangled in vines and roots. A root with a few thorns was wrapped tightly around the red hedgehog's arm, puncturing her. The same went for the fox. A root had also attached itself to the base of their necks, the top of their spines. It was connected to a huge, about the size of a bowling ball, green, egg-shaped pod. Both roots were injecting sap into their bloodstreams. The thorns were keeping them asleep. Both the root and the thorns were slowly...well, let's just say that they definitely wanted to stop the process.
A bird flew onto the tree, disturbing the vines. It knocked the thorns out of the red hedgehog. She slowly awoke. Blood trailed out of her mouth. When she looked at the holes where the thorns had been, red blood wasn't there. Green goop oozed.
"Aww...that's...that's just gross...." she whispered hoarsely. Suddenly she remembered what happened last night, she shouted hoarsely, "Dream! Wake up!" Scarlet looked up at the bird that had freed her. "Would you mind pecking those roots around her arms, please?"
The bird flew away.
"Of course not. Dream!" she screamed.
Dream didn't stir. Scarlet turned her head quickly, hitting Dream with her quills. The roots left Dream's arms and she awoke, too.
"Scarlet, what happened? Who were those girls?"
"I...I know the hedgehog. But the fox I don't. Although I have a guess."
"Who is the hedgehog?"
"Her name's Rosalina. And she's...she's my anti."
"Your what?"
"Everyone has an anti. Someone completely opposite of them. They live in the anti-version of Mobius, but I can't remember the name right now. Rosalina is my anti. She's extremely lady-like and takes the words "double sided" to the extreme. One minute she's Miss Lady, and the next she's Miss Assassin. She looks just like me but dresses very, very differently. She also goes after every male hedgehog she sees and isn't afraid to have more than one boyfriend." Scarlet scowled, thinking of when Rosalina hit on Phenix and his anti. "She's probably flirting with Sonic right now. I'm assuming the fox is your anti."
Dream looked around. When she saw the root connecting them to the pod, her eyes shot open.
"Scarlet! Do you know what this root is?!"
"Uh no. I was hoping you could explain it."
Dream tried to have her hands glow. "This is even worse, I can't use my powers! My anti must have done this to me last night!"
"Dream, what is so bad about this root?!" Scarlet snapped.
"Scarlet," Dream said, her eyes wide with terror. "If I don't get my powers back soon, this root is going to turn us into trees."
Short chapter but at least you know what's happening.
